2- PapaCharly
This place was recommended by the Guest Relations Department at Bric Vacation Rentals. It was a fantastic find, away from the madness of 5th Avenue in Playa Del Carmen. You’ll find PapaCharly within a short walk from the city center, but like in another world. This funky little restaurant offers the short break you need from time to time. Plus, the prices are very affordable and even have Menu Del Dia or Menu of the Day. For 119 Mexican pesos ($ 6), you can get an appetizer that consists of soup, salad or pasta, a main course, and a drink which is usually the juice they make that day, often Jamaican or something similar. If you just want to be vegetarian, that’s 109 pesos which are roughly 5.50 US$. We were so impressed with the quality, size of service, and service that we couldn’t believe we had never heard of this hotel before.
