Changing numbers to percentages can help you see things in a new way or make it easier to summarize a lot of numbers. The Excel percentage method can help you quickly find the answer you need in this case. Don’t worry—figuring out numbers in Excel doesn’t take a lot of steps. Let us show you how to do it.
How do I find the formula for the percentage?
You can figure out a percentage in a number of different ways. These are the two most common ways.
Step 1: I’ll figure out the difference between the profit and the income in this case. Pick the cell where you want the number to show up. Type =(B2–C2)/B2 now. The / stands for the function that divides.
Step 2: To make sure you understand the method, press the Enter key on your keyboard.
Step 3: Click on the Rate button in the toolbar. There is a 65% gap between the profit and the revenue in my case. In the event that I raise the profit amount, that number will go down.
Step 4: The / key can be used between two cells to enter another method for figuring out the percentage. I need to get 80% of the questions on a driving theory test right in order to pass. =B2/C2 is what I typed in to get the number for this question.
What is the easiest way to find percentages?

How do I use Excel to find 10% of a number?
A simple formula can help you find a certain fraction of a number in your spreadsheet, for example.
Step 1: Select the cell containing the value you wish to calculate.
Step 2: Type in something like =10%50. In this formula, the star stands for the multiplication function. To make sure the answer is correct, press *Enter on your keyboard.
Step 3: I used the same method on my main Excel spreadsheet that compares profits to sales. Just change the number 50 to the number of the cell where the picture is.
